As a principal of High Safety Consulting, Steve High, has been involved in occupational safety since 1986 and has provided safety consulting services since 1996.  He is certified as a safety professional (CSP), holds the associate in risk management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America.  As an OSHA-authorized instructor for over ten years, he has been involved in the development of fall prevention programs for many industries. Steve also holds a MS in Safety Sciences with thesis work in the evaluation of sticktion in assessment of slip-resistance.  As part of his thesis work, he was able to construct the fastest operating drag-sled tribometer.  He is certified as an English XL Tribometrist, one of less than 200 in the country.

Steve is a member of the American Society of Testing & Materials (ASTM) and is a member of the F-13 committee relating to safe walking and working surfaces. 

 

Many firms have had their products tested with out-of-date standards or with methods that are inappropriate for the surfaces they are testing.  Your product will be tested with the appropriate and latest test methods when completed by High Safety Consulting.  We offer several choices in testing methods.  This provides you with various options based on your needs.  Not all testing organizations can provided multiple test methods and most do not specialize specifically in pedestrian safety issues.
